Shenzhen Bay Port is a major crossing for Hong Kongers heading north to western Shenzhen (Nanshan, Qianhai). Where should you go after crossing? The area around the port (Nanshan District) already has everything for shopping, eating, and fun — malls, parks, and the waterfront are all nearby, perfect for a day trip.
🛍️ Coastal City — Nanshan's Popular Mall
Coastal City (Nanshan Houhai) is one of the largest malls closest to Shenzhen Bay Port: plenty of brands, lots of restaurants, plus a cinema and supermarket — a one-stop shop for shopping and dining. It's about 10–15 minutes by car from the port, or you can take the bus or metro (Houhai Station).
🏬 MixC Shenzhen Bay (MixC World)
MixC Shenzhen Bay (Houhai) is an upscale mall with a wide range of brands and a beautiful setting; MixC World (near the Science & Technology Park area) focuses on a younger, trendier vibe with outdoor spaces. Both are shopping hotspots in Nanshan District, comfortable for strolling around.
🌉 Talent Park + Shenzhen Bay Park
Want to head straight to a park to relax after crossing? Talent Park (Houhai) has beautiful gardens and a nighttime light show; Shenzhen Bay Park features a waterfront promenade overlooking Shenzhen Bay and Hong Kong across the water — perfect for an evening stroll. Both are free.
