From September 15, Shenzhen Duty Free Gives Out ¥100 Million in Shopping Vouchers
Shenzhen's downtown duty-free store (known in the trade as "Shenzhen Duty Free") has announced its Mid-Autumn and National Day promotion: from September 15 to October 15, 2026, it will issue shopping vouchers worth a total of RMB 100 million, spanning the two big spending peaks of Mid-Autumn Festival (September 25–27) and the National Day Golden Week.

Under the Ministry of Finance and other departments' "Notice on Matters Concerning Checkpoint Arrival Duty-Free Stores," Shenzhen was approved to add 2 new checkpoint arrival duty-free stores, located at Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint and Liantang Checkpoint. Both stores completed construction and customs acceptance before May 19, 2026, and officially began trial operation on May 20.
The Liantang Checkpoint Arrival Duty-Free Store is located on the east side of the Liantang Checkpoint arrival hall in Luohu District, with a floor area of 120 square meters. It brings together global fine liquor and tobacco brands such as Moutai and Hennessy, and during the opening period most products are 30% off or more, letting you enjoy the double benefit of "duty-free + discount."
(2) Existing Checkpoint Duty-Free Stores
- Lo Wu Checkpoint Duty-Free Store: Inside the Lo Wu Checkpoint building, the most familiar to Hongkongers, and you can shop before or after crossing.
- Huanggang Checkpoint Duty-Free Store: Huanggang is a 24-hour checkpoint, so you can shop even when crossing late at night.

3. What's the Best Value?
- Fine liquor and tobacco: Duty-free foreign spirits, baijiu and cigarettes are the biggest draw at checkpoint stores, and the Liantang store's opening discount of 30% off or more makes it one of the cheapest places to buy in all of Shenzhen.
- Perfume and skincare: Duty-free prices for big brands are generally 10–30% cheaper than mainland counters, and paired with the spend ¥1,000 save ¥90 voucher, buying a full set is the best deal.
- Watches and sunglasses: Big-ticket items, so the spend ¥1,500 save ¥150 voucher is the one that actually matters.
- Chocolate and biscuit gift boxes: For Mid-Autumn and National Day gifting, checkpoint stores have plenty of imported gift box options that are small and don't take up luggage space.
4. Three Things Hongkongers Must Watch Out For

- Luohu Commercial City: Right outside Lo Wu Checkpoint, best for clothing alterations, key cutting and daily necessities, convenient as either a first or last stop. Metro Line 1, Luohu Station.
