Shenzhen's National Day Line-Up: International Dining, Yoga Wear and Streetwear All at Once
In the 2026 National Day period, Shenzhen's "first-store economy" kept up its momentum, with several shopping districts opening a batch of brand debut stores all at once — from international dining and activewear yoga to trendy fashion and AI audio products. Most of these stores opened between late September and early October, so now is still the freshest time to go, without having to battle the opening-day crowds. Below they're grouped by mall, along with which checkpoint is most convenient for crossing the border.
1. UpperHills (福田): Turkish Restaurant + Coach Play Mainland Debut
UpperHills is the busiest cluster of debut stores this National Day period. The most eye-catching is CZN BURAK GURME 柏克土耳其餐廳深圳首店, which officially opened on 2 October 2026. The store is led by renowned Turkish chef Burak Özdemir, who has accumulated over 140 million followers across global social platforms and is nicknamed "Smiley Guy" by Chinese netizens for his signature smile and over-the-top presentation style; the Prince of Dubai and Cristiano Ronaldo have both been photographed at his Dubai restaurant. This is UpperHills' first international restaurant centred on Turkish cuisine, focusing on a "from screen to table" experience.
The same mall also has the Coach Play concept store, its first in mainland China, continuing the brand's iconic spatial design and blending fashion, creativity and interactive experiences — an immersive space that's part photo spot, part shopping destination.
- Address: around Huanggang Road, UpperHills, Futian District, Shenzhen (subject to official announcement)
- Transport: Metro Line 10, Donggualing Station Exit E, directly connected to the mall's basement; 4 stops from Futian Checkpoint Station
- Opening hours: mall generally 10:00–22:00
2. Shenzhen Bay MixC (南山): Alo Mainland Debut + HUNTER Shenzhen Debut
In Nanshan, Shenzhen Bay MixC welcomes the US high-end yoga lifestyle brand Alo's first mainland China store — the brand itself started online, and this is its first physical location, creating a "Bay Area ALOsphere" ecosystem blending sport, wellness and culture. At the same time, HUNTER's first Shenzhen store has also moved in (branch locations subject to official announcement). Shenzhen Bay MixC also opened its Phase 2 "Pink Street" this year, home to McDonald's first global "Mai Mai Art Museum" — after browsing the debut stores you can stop by for photos.
- Address: Shenzhen Bay MixC, 2888 Keyuan South Road, Nanshan District, Shenzhen

3. Coastal City (南山): Chiikawa Flagship Store + South China Debut Exhibition
Nanshan's Coastal City is drawing crowds with IP: the Chiikawa Shenzhen first flagship store has moved in, along with the South China debut exhibition "Chiikawa's Training Daily Life", attracting younger customers through an "IP debut exhibition + flagship store" combination. Chiikawa fans can not only buy merchandise but also visit the exhibition and take photos.

4. Futian Xinghe COCO Park (福田): Sanag 塞那 National Debut
Futian Xinghe COCO Park has opened AI audio brand Sanag 塞那's first national store, focusing on AI simultaneous translation and smart voice interaction, embedding tech experiences into everyday consumer scenarios. This is the first in the country, so Shenzhen fans don't have to wait for online orders — they can try it hands-on directly.

Why Does Shenzhen Have So Many Debut Stores?
In recent years Shenzhen has made the "debut economy" a key measure for activating the consumer market. The Shenzhen Municipal Commerce Bureau has issued the "Several Measures of Shenzhen on Accelerating the Promotion of the Debut Economy to Boost Consumption", explicitly supporting the opening of leading international, national and municipal-level debut stores. Data shows that in the first half of 2026 Shenzhen introduced 186 quality debut stores, of which Grade B and above high-calibre brands accounted for 40.8%, with South China and national debut stores making up nearly 40%; the city hosted a cumulative 282 debut events of various kinds, with a 41% surge quarter-on-quarter in Q2. For malls, debut stores mean differentiated content and "social currency", so every mall is racing to open them.
