Christmas in Shenzhen is not only about mall decorations. It is also the one time of year when you can buy every present on your list in a single afternoon. Hong Kong shoppers heading to Shenzhen usually want one of four things: beauty gift sets, bakery boxes, designer-toy collectibles, or wine and food hampers. This guide covers that gifting angle only, with ten real shops and malls across Luohu, Futian and Nanshan, plus addresses, metro line and exit, and rough prices.
One note before you plan: 2026 Christmas markets, tree installations and limited-edition gift sets are normally announced between mid-November and early December. Everything festival-related below describes previous years, and opening hours, prices and events should always be confirmed against the latest official announcements (information compiled 12 October 2026).
1. Luohu: The MixC with Butterful & Creamorous
Address: 1881 Bao'an South Road, Luohu (The MixC Phase 1 and 2). Metro: Line 1 or Line 2 to Grand Theatre station, where a dedicated passage leads straight into the mall (Exit F also works). This is the densest gift-box cluster in Luohu. Phase 1 holds Olé supermarket, the first branch in Shenzhen when it opened in 2004 under China Resources Vanguard, and its shelves carry wine, ham, cheese and chocolate hampers. Phase 2 is mostly luxury flagship stores.
For pastry boxes, French-style bakery Butterful & Creamorous (B&C) opened its Shenzhen debut here, known for double chocolate tarts, palmiers and croissants, and for long queues. In previous years The MixC has put a giant Christmas tree and gingerbread-house set-up in the Phase 1 atrium, which makes present shopping and photos one trip.
Rough prices: pastries from about RMB 18 to 35 each (a July 2026 Shenzhen Economic Daily report puts trendy bakery items at RMB 20 to 30); Olé chocolate and biscuit boxes from around RMB 60, wine from RMB 100 to over a thousand. Ask staff for an ice pack if you are buying cream-based boxes.
2. Luohu: Bao Shifu Pastry, Guomao station
Address: beside the east block of International Commercial Building, 2069 Renmin South Road, Luohu (Jinguanghua branch); a second store sits in Dongmen Town, shop A028, 1/F, Yongxin Street, Renmin North Road. Metro: Line 1 to Guomao station, Exit E, about 90 metres on foot. The signature pork floss buns, raisin cookies and egg-yolk pastries all come boxed, which makes them an easy small present to slip into a bigger hamper.
Rough prices: buns are sold by the piece at a few RMB each, boxes are in the tens of RMB (check in-store prices). Everything is baked the same day, so buy them late in your trip and eat within a day or two.
3. Luohu: MINISO LAND Dongmen flagship
Address: 85 Erheng Street, Luohu. Metro: Line 1 to Laojie station, about 200 metres on foot. This three-storey IP flagship stocks more than 100 licensed characters and over 5,500 items: collaboration blind boxes, plush toys, stationery and small homeware. If you need one present each for a group, this is the fastest place to buy them.
Rough prices: small items from RMB 10, blind boxes around RMB 39 to 99. Many collaborations are limited runs with irregular restocks; if you need several of the same character, ask staff whether a sealed case is available.
4. Luohu: MixC Foodie Mall and Freshippo, Sungang
Address: 71 Meiyuan Road, Luohu. Metro: Line 7 to Sungang station. MixC Foodie Mall is a food-focused complex whose Freshippo supermarket covers cherries, dried seafood, chocolate, sweets, wine and own-brand gift boxes, so you can sweep up the edible souvenirs in one go.
Rough prices: food hampers run roughly RMB 39 to 299 (check shelf prices). Frozen and fresh hampers need to survive the trip home, and fresh fruit, meat and eggs face import restrictions when returning to Hong Kong, so check the rules before you buy.
5. Futian: Holiland at Galaxy COCO Park
Address: shop B1C-087, North Zone B1, Galaxy COCO Park, 268 Fuhua 3rd Road, Futian (around the B1 atrium). Metro: Line 1 or Line 3 to Shopping Park station, Exit C about 220 metres away, or Exit G straight into the mall. Holiland, a national bakery brand from northern China, opened this Shenzhen debut on 24 December 2024. Its half-baked cheesecake, lava cakes and collaboration cakes are the draw, and in previous years Christmas saw limited cakes, gift apples and collaboration boxes.
Rough prices: half-baked cheesecake boxes from about RMB 39 (media reports in August 2026 quote RMB 38 to 59), with collaboration and limited editions higher. Queues get long at festival time, so go on a weekday morning or order through Meituan or Ele.me for pickup.
6. Futian: HARMAY at ONE AVENUE
Address: ONE AVENUE, 348 Fuhua 1st Road, Futian. Metro: Lines 2, 10, 11 or 14 to Gangxia North station via the Shenzhen Eye underground street, or Line 1 to Gangxia station. HARMAY is a beauty retailer stocking department-store brand samples, sets and festive gift boxes, and its own store list flags the Shenzhen ONE AVENUE branch as a tax-refund store for eligible overseas shoppers. The mall is a first-store hub, and there is an Olé supermarket on site too.
Rough prices: sample sets from around RMB 50, and counter-level gift boxes into the hundreds or over a thousand RMB (check in-store pricing). Check expiry dates and authenticity seals, and keep your passport and same-day receipt for the refund counter.
7. Futian: Sam's Club at Inlane Plaza
Address: floors 1 to 2, Inlane Plaza, 69 Nonglin Road, Zhuyuan community, Xiangmihu, Futian (the former SZITIC Square). Metro: Line 7 to Nonglin station, or Lines 1, 7, 9 or 11 to Chegongmiao station, then a short walk or taxi ride of around ten minutes. Member's Mark nut, chocolate, biscuit, wine and ham boxes are large, well presented and popular for corporate or extended-family gifting.
Rough prices: hampers mostly fall between RMB 99 and 399 (check shelf prices). Entry requires a membership card, and membership types and annual fees follow Sam's Club's official terms. Weekday mornings are calmest.
8. Nanshan: To Summer at MixC World
Address: shop NL-106, 1/F, MixC World, 9668 Shennan Avenue, Nanshan. Metro: Line 1 to Hi-Tech Park station, Exit A, which connects directly to the mall. To Summer is an Oriental fragrance house selling perfume, solid balms, scented candles and diffusers in minimalist gift packaging that travels well as a present. In previous years MixC World has installed a ten-metre golden Christmas tree and a market, so you can shop and take photos in one loop.
Rough prices: fragrance gift boxes land roughly between RMB 300 and 800 (check the official mini-programme or in-store prices). Perfume can cross the border as a liquid but hand-carry limits apply, and staff can gift-wrap on request.
9. Nanshan: POP MART at Coastal City
Address: Nanshan Coastal City shopping centre, 33 Wenxin 5th Road, Nanshan. Metro: Lines 2, 11 or 13 to Houhai station, Exit D1. Blind boxes, MEGA figures and plush charms (LABUBU, MOLLY, SKULLPANDA and friends) are all under one roof, with festive limited editions and collaborations normally released in batches through November and December. In previous years the mall has also hosted IP exhibitions and Christmas displays.
Rough prices: standard blind boxes about RMB 69 to 99, plush and limited sets around RMB 159 (check official pricing). Hot series often use online and in-store lotteries, so arrive before opening if you want certainty, and buy only from official stores to avoid fakes.
10. Nanshan: The Beast and Olé at MixC Shenzhen Bay
Address: MixC Shenzhen Bay, 2888 Keyuan South Road, Nanshan (phases 1 and 2). Metro: Lines 2, 11 or 13 to Houhai station, Exit L, about 310 metres on foot. The Beast specialises in floristry, fragrance and home gift sets, with its store in Phase 2 near the Zone C green valley. Olé, at the junction of Haide 3rd Road and Keyuan Avenue, carries wine, ham, cheese and chocolate hampers and opens 10:00 to 22:00.
Rough prices: floral and fragrance gift sets from about RMB 299, and Olé wine hampers from RMB 100 to over a thousand (check shelf prices). Fresh flowers and plants face import restrictions, so floral gifts are best for friends in Shenzhen; if it has to travel to Hong Kong, stick to fragrance, tea or chocolate boxes.
Five practical gifting tips
- Ask about wrapping before price: most mall gift counters wrap free or for RMB 10 to 30, and a ribbon and bag make a small present look far more considered.
- Time the fresh items: bakery boxes such as pork floss buns, half-baked cheesecake and palmiers keep for one to three days, so buy them on your last day.
- Budget in tiers: under RMB 50 covers single-item boxes, RMB 100 to 300 covers collectibles and food hampers, and RMB 300 and up buys fragrance, beauty and wine.
- Watch for limited runs: toy and beauty collaborations are often lottery-based or limited, so follow the brand's official mini-programme early.
- Payment: malls and chains generally accept WeChat Pay HK and AlipayHK, while small shops may only take mainland payment apps or cash, so carry both.

FAQ
When are Shenzhen's 2026 Christmas markets and tree installations announced?
In previous years malls revealed them from mid-November to early December, with displays usually up from early December. MixC World, MixC Shenzhen Bay, ONE AVENUE and Coastal City are regulars. The 2026 line-up is not confirmed yet, so check each mall's official channel.
Can I bring gift boxes back to Hong Kong?
Sweets, biscuits, chocolate, tea and fragrance are generally fine. Fruit, meat, eggs, dried seafood and alcohol are subject to quotas or limits, and frozen items need to survive the journey. Check Hong Kong Customs rules before you travel rather than at the checkpoint.
Which district is best for gift boxes?
Luohu for The MixC, Futian for Galaxy COCO Park and ONE AVENUE, and Nanshan for MixC World, Coastal City and MixC Shenzhen Bay. All are metro-connected, and two districts in one day is plenty.
Is it possible to stay under RMB 100?
Yes. Bao Shifu boxes cost tens of RMB, MINISO LAND items and blind boxes run RMB 10 to 99, and Freshippo hampers start around RMB 39. For less, buy single items and pair them with a gift bag.
Can I pay with WeChat Pay HK or AlipayHK?
Malls, counters and chain stores usually accept them, along with UnionPay QR. Some small shops and market stalls only take mainland apps or cash, so keep some renminbi on you.
