Shenzhen Double 11 2026 Dining Deals: How to Stack Meituan & Dianping Group-Buy Coupons, Plus 10 Real Restaurants

Shenzhen Double 11 2026 Dining Deals: How to Stack Meituan & Dianping Group-Buy Coupons, Plus 10 Real Restaurants

Shenzhen Double 11 2026 is not just Taobao: Meituan and Dianping dine-in coupons are the real prize. Here is how Hong Kong readers register with a local number, pay with WeChat Pay HK, and stack three layers of discount, plus four common traps and ten real restaurants in Luohu, Futian and Nanshan.

Double 11 (11 November) is not only about Taobao hauls any more: in 2026 the main event for food is the dine-in coupon business on Meituan and Dianping. Stack a group-buy set menu, a voucher, a member coupon and one of the district government dining coupons that are still being handed out in November, and a single bill can drop by several layers. This guide is about the dining group-buy coupons themselves: how to stack them, how to sign up and pay with a Hong Kong phone number and WeChat Pay HK, the four traps that cost people money, and ten real restaurants with real addresses in Luohu, Futian and Nanshan that you can navigate to with one tap.

The 2026 Double 11 Window: Not Just 11 November

Shenzhen Double 11 2026 dining coupon guide

The headline date is 11 November, but the 2026 campaign runs for about a month. According to Alibaba's official Tmall Double 11 merchant rules and JD.com's published schedule, JD opened live sales at 8pm on 12 October, while Tmall started deposits at 8pm on 15 October with balance payment from 8pm on 20 October and live selling running to 13 November. In other words, mid-October to mid-November counts as the Double 11 window — the same applies to dining coupons.

On Meituan and Dianping, dine-in dining campaigns run year-round and get extra funding during Double 11. Per official information:

  • Meituan "Group-buy Dine-in": the official campaign page states a run from 17 May 2026 to 31 December 2026, covering key cities nationwide including Shenzhen, offering dine-in group-buy set menus and cash vouchers. Search "团购到餐" in the Meituan app or open the group-buy channel.
  • Meituan "Coupon Festival": officially described as large-value coupons across all categories, covering delivery, dine-in and flash shopping, including a dedicated dine-in coupon pack.
  • Meituan "Weekend Dine-in": a fixed Friday-to-Sunday half-price coupon event with a stated maximum discount of ¥150, released in batches at 10:00, 14:00, 16:00 and 20:00 daily. The November 2026 weekends fall inside the Double 11 window.
  • Dianping: positioned as "content plus transactions" — read reviews and the Must-Eat list, then buy the group-buy or discount voucher on the merchant page and redeem the QR code in store.

One caveat: face values, release times and session counts change every year. What is described above is the mechanism; check the live campaign page in the app for the actual numbers.

The Three-Layer Stack: Paying the Least for the Same Meal

The most common mistake Hong Kong diners make is assuming the group-buy price is already the floor. There are in fact three layers of discount in Shenzhen, and stacking them saves real money:

LayerSourceTypical exampleStacking rule
1Platform group-buyA ¥168 set menu for two; a "¥90 buys ¥100" cash voucherBuy on the merchant page; refundable until redeemed
2Platform / member couponsMeituan member coupons, Coupon Festival packs, Weekend Dine-in half-price couponsOfficially stacks only with the merchant's own offline offers, not with other platform subsidies of the same type
3Government dining vouchersLuohu, Bao'an, Longhua and Qianhai district vouchersOne voucher per bill; stacks with merchant discounts and platform group-buys, but not with other government vouchers

Practical order: (1) check whether you hold a usable government voucher (table below); (2) buy the platform group-buy set menu or cash voucher; (3) check for a member coupon before you pay. Respect the limits — more coupons is not better. Only one platform coupon of the same type applies, and the app auto-selects the highest value.

Buying Coupons on Meituan and Dianping: The Hong Kong Version

Registering with a Hong Kong phone number (six steps)

Buying coupons used to require a mainland number. That has been relaxed: Hong Kong media tested and confirmed that Meituan and Dianping now accept a Hong Kong mobile number for registration and for buying restaurant vouchers in Shenzhen. The six steps:

  • 1. Choose Hong Kong as your region during sign-up and enter a Hong Kong number for the SMS code.
  • 2. Set a nickname and avatar.
  • 3. Pick the mainland area you are visiting, or search the restaurant directly.
  • 4. Choose the voucher on the restaurant's page.
  • 5. Submit the order and select WeChat Pay as the payment method.
  • 6. The app jumps to WeChat, the amount is shown in Hong Kong dollars, and you confirm.

Payment: WeChat Pay HK is the key, Alipay may not work

WeChat Pay HK officially states that its Hong Kong wallet can be used at designated mainland merchants, including Meituan, Dianping and restaurants, settled directly in Hong Kong dollars. Two things to watch:

  • Alipay and credit cards: in Hong Kong media testing, paying mainland Meituan orders with Alipay or a credit card still generally requires mainland identity verification and a mainland phone number. Having AlipayHK is not automatically enough.
  • Verification: to claim government vouchers such as the Luohu or Nanshan inbound-consumer vouchers, you must complete WeChat Pay HK identity verification with your Hong Kong ID first.

Coupon types, redemption and refunds

TypeWhat it isBest for
Group-buy set menuThe restaurant's own preset dishes, usually the deepest discount (up to half price)Groups and anyone who cannot decide
Cash voucherBuy a fixed face value at a discount (e.g. ¥90 for ¥100)Ordering freely on the spot
New-user / flash couponsHeavily subsidised low-price coupons with a use-by dateNew accounts, drinks and snacks
Member couponsEarned by Meituan membership tier; the largest face values, valid 7 to 30 daysCollecting before a big group meal

To redeem, open the coupon under Orders in the app and show the QR code to staff, or read out the coupon number. Most Meituan and Dianping group-buy coupons support "refund any time" and "auto-refund on expiry": as long as staff have not scanned it, you can refund it in the app and the money goes back the same way. Once it is redeemed, it cannot be refunded.

Four traps that catch people out

  • 1. Time windows. Cheap set menus often say weekday lunch only, or Monday to Thursday. Weekends and public holidays may be excluded.
  • 2. Reservations. Some set menus require a phone booking or an in-app table reservation; buying at the door may mean you cannot redeem it.
  • 3. No stacking between platform coupons. Platform coupons generally stack only with the merchant's own offer, not with another platform coupon.
  • 4. Holiday exclusions. Around Double 11 and Christmas, some restaurants suspend redemptions. Read the fine print on the coupon first.

Government Dining Vouchers Still Running in November

This is the layer most Hong Kong visitors miss, and the handout periods run straight through November, overlapping Double 11:

DistrictCampaign and entry pointHandout periodFace values (selection)
Luohu"Enjoy Luohu" dining vouchers: search "罗湖消费券" in Taobao Flash Buy; Douyin and Meituan pools also available; inbound visitors use AlipayHK and partner walletsTaobao Flash Buy from 17 July to end of November, daily at 10:00; inbound vouchers to 29 NovemberTaobao Flash Buy four tiers up to ¥80 off (¥80 off ¥500); inbound vouchers eight tiers, ¥5 off ¥50 up to ¥150 off ¥1,500
Bao'an"Taste Guangdong, Shenzhen Date" dining vouchers (Bao'an Commerce Bureau): search "宝安餐饮消费券" on Meituan, Dianping or Douyin7 August to 30 November 2026, daily at 10:00Meituan five tiers: ¥10 off ¥100 up to ¥50 off ¥500; Douyin eight tiers: ¥10 off ¥100 up to ¥100 off ¥1,000
LonghuaSearch "龙华消费券" on Meituan or DianpingTo 3 November 2026, 15 rounds of 7 daysIncludes ¥30 off ¥300
QianhaiQianhai coupons: search "前海消费券" on Meituan; tap-to-claim at selected mallsFrom 24 July 2026Dining vouchers from ¥10 off ¥30 up to ¥100 off ¥500

The key rules: one government voucher per bill, stackable with merchant discounts and platform group-buy coupons, but not with other government vouchers. Most require your phone to be located in Shenzhen when claiming, and are valid for the day of issue only. Separately, Nanshan ran a WeChat Pay HK inbound-consumer voucher round (HK$15 off HK$30 up to HK$600 off HK$1,000) with official notice of a 15 October end date — check the latest official announcement for any extension.

Ten Real Restaurants to Eat At: Luohu, Futian and Nanshan

All ten have real names and addresses. Per-person prices are October 2026 approximations and vary with what you order; check the coupon's time window before buying. Each entry has a one-tap Amap (Gaode) navigation button.

Luohu checkpoint area (4) — walkable from the border, within two metro stops.

1. Tai Er Suancai Yu (Kingglory Plaza) | about ¥98 per person

The benchmark chain for sour-cabbage fish, whose own slogan is that the pickled greens are better than the fish; you choose the spice level. Kingglory Plaza is directly connected to Guomao station, so no rain, and it is one metro stop from the Luohu crossing.

  • Address: L6-003B, Kingglory Plaza, 2028 Renmin South Road, Luohu
  • Getting there: Metro Line 1, Guomao station, Exit A, about 160 metres
  • Price: about ¥98 per person; the two-person set menu is the best value
  • Coupon tip: the restaurant does not seat tables of more than four, so a big group needs to split or choose elsewhere

2. Muwu BBQ (Dongmen No.1) | about ¥80–120 per person

One of Shenzhen's best-known barbecue chains: lamb skewers, grilled oysters, honey chicken wings, open until 3am — ideal if you are out late. It is a short walk from the Dongmen shopping streets, and ordering late is when the value is best.

  • Address: Basement floor, Zhonghai Mall building, Shenzhen Cinema, 1 Xinyuan Road, Luohu
  • Getting there: Metro Lines 1 and 3, Laojie (Dongmen) station, walkable
  • Price: about ¥80–120 per person; open 11:00–03:00
  • Coupon tip: skewer set menus usually state how many people they cover — count heads first

3. Chen Pengpeng Chaoshan Cuisine (KKMALL) | about ¥41–100 per person

Founded in 2016 and known for braised goose and Chaoshan small plates, with reviews putting it at about 28 directly operated branches across Shenzhen. KKMALL sits at Grand Theater station and connects straight into the metro, a short ride from the Luohu crossing.

  • Address: F1, KKMALL, 5016 Shennan East Road, Luohu (next to Starbucks)
  • Getting there: Metro Lines 1 and 2, Grand Theater station
  • Price: about ¥41–100 per person; the braised platter set is good value
  • Coupon tip: with so many branches, confirm which branch your coupon covers

4. Cha Fan Bing Sutt (Luohu Commercial City) | about ¥41–100 per person

Unbeatable location: Luohu Commercial City is directly opposite Shenzhen Railway Station and one step from Metro Line 1 Luohu station. Hong Kong-style rice plates, congee, noodles and roast meats — your first meal after the border without needing a taxi.

  • Address: Luohu Commercial City, Luohu (opposite Shenzhen Railway Station)
  • Getting there: Metro Line 1, Luohu station, straight out of the gates
  • Price: about ¥41–100 per person
  • Coupon tip: border-branch footfall is heavy; during peaks they may not accept buy-and-use-immediately coupons, so buy in advance

Futian checkpoint area (3) — cross at Lok Ma Chau or Futian, then straight into the city centre by metro.

5. Haidilao Hot Pot (Huaqiangbei Road) | about ¥120–180 per person

Famous for service: free snacks, manicures and shoe shines, and a plush toy to eat with if you come alone. Plenty of broth options, with tomato and three-fresh the Hong Kong favourites. It pairs naturally with a Huaqiangbei electronics run.

  • Address: Unit 901, 9th floor, Maoye Department Store, 2009 Huaqiangbei Road, Futian
  • Getting there: Metro Line 1, Huaqiang Road station
  • Price: about ¥120–180 per person
  • Coupon tip: weekend queues can run to an hour — take a queue number in the Meituan or Dianping app first

6. Baheli Haiji Beef Hot Pot (Shopping Park) | about ¥60–80 per person

A veteran Chaoshan beef hot pot chain serving beef cut fresh the same day, with cuts plated by part — dragon, spoon handle, brisket fat — and shacha sauce on the side. Lunch and late-night slots are cheapest, and it is the easiest of the ten to find across all three districts.

  • Address: Units 220–228, Zone A, Shopping Park North Park, Mintian Road, Futian
  • Getting there: Metro Lines 1 and 3, Shopping Park station
  • Price: about ¥60–80 per person (about 14 branches in Shenzhen)
  • Coupon tip: beef sets are priced by the plate — check whether the coupon says lunch only

7. Maiyulao Claypot Congee (Shangmeilin) | about ¥67 per person

A 2026 Dianping Must-Eat List entry in Shenzhen, hidden in the alleys of Shangmeilin village. Seafood is bought live and cooked to order, and the congee base is simmered from northeastern rice until silky. The signature bowls are abalone and prawn, soft-shell turtle, and roe crab with prawn, alongside Chaoshan home dishes.

  • Address: Building 28, Shangmeilin New Village, Meicun Road, Futian
  • Getting there: Metro Line 9, Meicun station, Exit C1, about 410 metres
  • Price: about ¥67 per person; rated 4.4 on Dianping
  • Coupon tip: open 18:00–03:00 only, so it is a dinner and late-night spot, not lunch

Shenzhen Bay checkpoint area (Nanshan, 3) — Line 13 then change for Houhai and Nanshan, roughly 30–40 minutes.

8. Tanyu Grilled Fish (Coastal City) | about ¥100–150 per person

9. Xita Laotaitai Clay-Oven BBQ (MixC World) | about ¥110 per person

Northeastern clay-oven barbecue whose signature is a black-sesame and classic twin dip. Rated 4.8 on Dianping and long the number one trending barbecue spot in Nanshan. MixC World connects seamlessly to Metro Line 1 Hi-Tech Park station, so shopping and dinner are one trip.

  • Getting there: Metro Line 1, Hi-Tech Park station, Exit A, about 183 metres

10. Chaoxiang Sihai Family Chaoshan Cuisine (Nanshan) | about ¥98–101 per person

A 2026 Dianping Must-Eat List entry, and one of only two Shenzhen restaurants on the list for eight or more consecutive years (the other is I HOLIC at Zhonghang City). Three generations of Chaoshan braising and family recipes, fresh seafood, private rooms and parking.

FAQ

Are dining coupons definitely cheapest on 11 November itself?

No. In 2026 the Double 11 window stretches from mid-October to mid-November and the big platform coupons are released in batches. Fixed weekly and monthly events such as Weekend Dine-in and the Coupon Festival can beat 11 November. The reliable approach is to open the app a day or two before you travel and see what is live, rather than waiting for the headline date.

Can I buy Meituan or Dianping group-buy coupons without a mainland phone number?

Yes. Since 2026 Meituan and Dianping accept Hong Kong mobile numbers for registration and coupon purchases, confirmed in Hong Kong media testing. Payment, however, needs WeChat Pay HK; Alipay and credit cards on mainland orders still generally require mainland identity verification and a mainland phone number.

How are exchange rates and fees handled with WeChat Pay HK?

WeChat Pay HK states that at designated mainland online and offline merchants the wallet converts the renminbi amount to Hong Kong dollars at a specified rate and settles in HKD. The exact rate and any cross-border fees change from time to time, so treat the amount shown at checkout and WeChat's latest official notice as final.

I bought a coupon but cannot go. Can I get a refund?

Most Meituan and Dianping group-buy coupons support refund any time and automatic refund on expiry. As long as staff have not scanned the code, you can refund from the Orders page in the app and the money returns the same way. Once redeemed, it is non-refundable.

Can I use a government voucher together with a platform group-buy coupon?

Yes. The official rule is one government voucher per bill, which can stack with merchant discounts and platform group-buy coupons. Platform coupons, however, generally cannot be stacked with each other — only with the merchant's own offline offer. So the cheapest order is: government voucher, plus the group-buy price, plus any in-store merchant promotion.
