Buying Small Home Appliances in Shenzhen 2026: 8 Real Stores in Luohu, Futian and Nanshan

Buying Small Home Appliances in Shenzhen 2026: 8 Real Stores in Luohu, Futian and Nanshan

Updated October 2026: eight real stores for small home appliances across Luohu, Futian and Nanshan, with addresses, metro exits and price ranges, plus official Hong Kong vs Shenzhen prices for rice cookers, air fryers, fans and robot vacuums. Small appliances lost their national subsidy in 2026, but robot vacuums still get Shenzhen's 15%.

Buying small home appliances in Shenzhen comes down to three questions: which price is the official one, which store lets you actually touch the machine, and whether any subsidy still applies in 2026. This guide covers small appliances only — rice cookers, air fryers, fans and heaters, and robot vacuums — and compares eight real stores across Luohu, Futian and Nanshan, with side-by-side official prices from Hong Kong. Every price is dated and sourced; where no official price exists, no figure is given.

1. The money question: do small appliances still get a subsidy in 2026?

Small home appliance stores in Shenzhen 2026: Xiaomi Home, JD.com MALL, Sundan and Sam's Club compared

Two different subsidies get mixed up constantly. Keep them apart.

(a) The national scheme no longer covers small appliances

A joint notice from the Ministry of Commerce and four other departments, issued on 31 December 2025 (document no. 469 of 2025) and effective 1 January 2026, limits the national subsidy to two groups:

  • Six categories of major appliances — refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, air conditioners, water heaters and computers, all at Grade 1 energy or water efficiency. 15% off, capped at RMB 1,500 per item, one item per category per person.
  • Four categories of digital and smart products — phones, tablets, smart watches or bands and smart glasses priced at RMB 6,000 or below. 15% off, capped at RMB 500 per item.
  • Rice cookers, air fryers, microwaves, fans and heaters are not on the list. This is a change from 2025, when small appliances were included.

(b) Shenzhen adds its own 15% for robot vacuums

On 22 May 2026 the Shenzhen Commerce Bureau published its own notice adding locally funded categories on top of the national list:

  • Eligible products: smart beds including mattresses, elderly-care aids such as electric wheelchairs and exoskeletons, smart displays including projectors, robot vacuums including wet-dry vacuums, digital cameras including action cameras, and smart toilets including toilet seats.
  • Rate: 15% of the final price after all other discounts, capped at RMB 1,500 per item, one item per category per person.
  • Window: from launch until 31 December 2026, subject to a total budget cap — first come, first served, and it ends when the funds run out.
  • How to claim: register and verify your identity on UnionPay QuickPass or the WeChat campaign platform, then the discount is taken off at checkout. The applicant, payer, recipient and invoice name must all match.

Bottom line: in October 2026, only robot vacuums and wet-dry vacuums qualify for the 15%. Rice cookers, air fryers, fans and heaters get nothing. That gap shapes your whole buying strategy — see section 4. Always check the latest official notice.

2. Price snapshot across the four categories

The mainland column shows list prices on Xiaomi's mainland store (mi.com). The Hong Kong column shows prices checked live on Xiaomi Hong Kong (mi.com/hk) on 12 October 2026. The RMB equivalents use that day's rate of about HKD 1 = RMB 0.8536, for reference only.

CategoryMainland model / official priceHong Kong model / official priceRMB equivalent
Rice cookerMijia Rice Cooker C1 3L — RMB 159Xiaomi Rice Cooker 1.5L — HKD 309about RMB 264
Rice cookerMijia Smart Rice Cooker, micro-pressure 3L — RMB 349Xiaomi IH Rice Cooker 3L — HKD 619about RMB 528
Air fryerMijia Air Fryer P1 6.5L — RMB 349 (list RMB 499)Xiaomi Smart Air Fryer 6.5L — HKD 689about RMB 588
FanMijia Circulator Fan — RMB 279 (list RMB 349)Xiaomi Smart DC Inverter Circulator Fan — HKD 459about RMB 392
FanMijia Floor Fan — RMB 219 (list RMB 299)Xiaomi Smart Inverter Fan 2 — HKD 519about RMB 443
HeaterMijia Graphene Heater C — RRP RMB 249 (launched August 2026, crowdfunding RMB 179)——
Robot vacuumMijia Robot Vacuum 5 Pro — from RMB 3,999 (launch price, August 2025)Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 Pro — HKD 3,799about RMB 3,243

Two takeaways:

  • Rice cookers, air fryers and fans are clearly cheaper on the mainland. The 6.5L air fryer is RMB 349 there versus HKD 689 in Hong Kong — a gap of about RMB 239.
  • The robot vacuum is the exception. The Mijia 5 Pro lists at RMB 3,999 on the mainland, while Xiaomi Hong Kong was showing HKD 3,799 (about RMB 3,243) on 12 October 2026 — Hong Kong is actually cheaper than the mainland list price. Even after the Shenzhen 15% subsidy, which brings it to roughly RMB 3,399, the two are within pocket change. Robot vacuums are not automatically cheaper up north; compare both official sites before you commit.

For mainland brands — Midea, Joyoung and Supor — the figures below are platform prices, not official brand pricing, and are for reference only: a Supor micro-pressure smart rice cooker was around RMB 268 on JD.com in July 2026 according to media reports, while ZOL listed the Midea MB-RE517 at about RMB 309 and the Joyoung F30FY-F311 at about RMB 326. For these three brands, the practical move is to check the electronic price tag in store and scan it with the JD app to compare. Prices move constantly; the official listing always wins.

3. Eight real stores in Luohu, Futian and Nanshan

They fall into four types: A brand-owned stores (Xiaomi Home), B JD.com's own big-box stores, C the specialist appliance chain Sundan, and D supermarket appliance aisles. Each entry lists the address, the metro line and station, and the kind of pricing to expect.

A. Xiaomi Home (brand-owned, same prices as the official store)

1. Xiaomi Home Shenzhen Bay Super Flagship Store (Nanshan)

  • Address: junction of Haide 3rd Road and Dengliang Road, Nanshan District (floors 1-2 of the Xiaomi Shenzhen International Headquarters building)
  • Metro: Houhai Station, Lines 2, 11 and 13
  • Background: opened on 18 July 2025 alongside the headquarters campus. Over 1,000 square metres across two floors, billed as the largest Xiaomi Home in the world, with a Xiaomi car display area.
  • Prices: identical to Xiaomi's own online store — Mijia Rice Cooker C1 3L at RMB 159, Mijia Air Fryer P1 6.5L at RMB 349, Mijia Circulator Fan at RMB 279, Mijia Robot Vacuum 5 Pro from RMB 3,999.
  • Why go: the whole Mijia ecosystem is out on the floor to try, including a robot-vacuum test track. It is the one place in Shenzhen where you can see everything at once.

2. Xiaomi Home King Glory Plaza Store (Luohu)

  • Address: King Glory Plaza, Renmin South Road, Luohu District (listed by Xiaomi as Xiaomi Home Guangdong Shenzhen Luohu King Glory Plaza Store)
  • Metro: Guomao Station, Line 1, exits A and B, with a covered link straight into the mall basement. One stop from Luohu Port.
  • Prices: same as Xiaomi's online store, with the same official warranty and seven-day no-reason returns, subject to the official terms.
  • Why go: the easiest stop if you cross at Luohu. You step off the metro and you are there — no trip out to Nanshan.

B. JD.com big-box stores (online and offline at the same price)

3. JD.com MALL Shenzhen Nanshan (Nanshan)

  • Address: Haiya Plaza, Houhai commercial area, Nanshan District — six floors and roughly 30,000 square metres
  • Metro: Nanshan Book Mall Station, Line 9, exits A and B, direct access
  • Background: opened on 14 June 2025 as Shenzhen's first JD.com MALL, with more than 200 brands and 200,000 products
  • Floor guide: floor 1 smart tech, floor 2 quality living with smart and kitchen appliances plus massage chairs, floor 3 kitchen and bathroom, floor 5 premium audio-visual, floor 6 premium fridges and washers
  • Prices: JD advertises the same price online and offline, plus 30-day price protection and a 30-day return window for quality issues under stated conditions
  • For small appliances: head straight to floor 2, where the Midea, Joyoung, Supor and Xiaomi counters are concentrated

4. JD Electric City Flagship Store, Huaqiangbei (Futian)

  • Address: floors 1-3, Qunxing Plaza, Huaqiangbei, Futian District — over 10,000 square metres and more than 200,000 product lines
  • Metro: Huaqiangbei Station, Lines 2 and 7
  • Background: soft-opened on 26 January 2024 and formally opened on 15 March 2024, with a focus on electronics, appliances and home goods
  • Prices: JD's own retail pricing, launched with a price-match promise against any Shenzhen store. Same price as the JD app, with in-store pickup or delivery.
  • Good for: combining an appliance run with the Huaqiangbei electronics market next door

C. Sundan, the local specialist chain

Sundan started in Huaqiangbei in 1992 and is Shenzhen's largest home-grown appliance chain, with its own appliance repair centres and installation service. Three branches cover all three border districts.

5. Sundan MixC Store (Luohu)

  • Address: shop L546, level L5, MixC phase one, 1881 Bao'an South Road, Luohu District
  • Metro: Grand Theatre Station, Line 1
  • Prices: positioned towards premium brands with plenty of demonstration units and staff advice. Its ticket prices do not always follow the big e-commerce promotions, so scan the model with the Xiaomi or JD app before you buy.

6. Sundan Coastal City Store (Nanshan)

  • Address: level 3, Coastal City shopping mall, Wenxin 5th Road, Nanshan District
  • Metro: Houhai Station, Lines 2 and 11
  • Good for: pairing with a walk around Coastal City and Shenzhen Bay MixC

7. Sundan Huaqiangbei Flagship (Futian)

  • Address: Sundan Home Appliance Plaza, building 103, Shangbu Industrial Area, Huaqiang North Road, Futian District
  • Metro: Huaqiangbei Station, Lines 2 and 7
  • Background: the original Sundan site and the company's first registered address

D. Supermarket appliance aisle (membership required)

8. Sam's Club Futian Store (Futian)

  • Address: 69 Nonglin Road, Futian District (levels 1-2 and basement of the Yinli Center, also known as the Shen Guo Tou commercial centre)
  • Metro: Qiaoxiang Station, Line 2, exit A
  • Opening hours: 07:30-22:00 per Sam's Club's own store list; confirm the latest hours officially
  • Where the appliances are: level 1 carries appliances, clothing and homeware, the optical centre and toys, while the food halls are downstairs
  • Prices: membership is required to enter and the fee and benefits are set by Sam's Club's own app. Appliances lean towards bundles and bulk packs, so a single unit is not always the cheapest, but combination deals and members-only models are common.
  • Good for: picking up small appliances, household goods and groceries in one trip

One note on brand counters: Midea, Joyoung and Supor counters sit mainly on floor 2 of JD.com MALL, in Sundan branches and in the Sam's Club appliance aisle, while Xiaomi and Mijia sell through Xiaomi Home. For the widest single-brand choice, floor 2 of JD.com MALL is the most concentrated.

4. Seven practical tips before you buy

  • 1. Separate the subsidised from the unsubsidised. In 2026 only robot vacuums and wet-dry vacuums qualify for Shenzhen's 15%, capped at RMB 1,500 and running to 31 December on a first-come basis. Rice cookers, air fryers, fans and heaters get nothing. Claiming the subsidy requires verified ID and the invoice must match the applicant.
  • 2. A robot vacuum is not automatically cheaper up north. Xiaomi Hong Kong showed HKD 3,799 (about RMB 3,243) on 12 October 2026 for the 5 Pro, against a mainland list of RMB 3,999, or roughly RMB 3,399 net of the 15%. Compare both official sites first.
  • 3. Voltage is fine, plugs are not. Both Shenzhen and Hong Kong run 220V at 50Hz, so no transformer is needed. But mainland sockets take two flat pins while Hong Kong uses British three-pin plugs, so bring an adapter.
  • 4. Warranty means going back to Shenzhen. Appliances bought on the mainland are generally serviced only at mainland service points, so a fault at home usually means carrying the machine back across the border. Ask whether the warranty is nationwide or international.
  • 5. Keep the invoice and check price protection. Xiaomi's own store offers seven-day no-reason returns, and JD's own stores advertise 30-day price protection under stated conditions. In physical stores, always take the invoice or an e-receipt.
  • 6. Do not carry bulky items yourself. Sundan and JD.com MALL both deliver and install, but only to mainland addresses. Shipping to Hong Kong means a consolidation service, and robot vacuums contain lithium batteries, which many forwarders treat as restricted cargo — check before you buy.
  • 7. Watch for different model numbers. Mainland and Hong Kong versions are not the same SKUs, for example the Mijia Rice Cooker against the Xiaomi Rice Cooker. Functions are similar, but the plug, the app region and the warranty coverage differ. Do not judge on looks and price alone.

5. Frequently asked questions

Do small appliances still get a national subsidy in 2026?

No. The national scheme covers only six categories of major appliances — refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, air conditioners, water heaters and computers at Grade 1 efficiency — plus four categories of digital products. Small appliances are excluded. Shenzhen does run its own local scheme covering robot vacuums and wet-dry vacuums, also at 15% with a RMB 1,500 per-item cap, valid until 31 December 2026 while funds last.

Which is cheapest: Xiaomi Home, JD.com MALL, Sundan or Sam's Club?

Xiaomi Home matches Xiaomi's online prices and has the fullest stock, often on launch day. JD.com MALL matches the JD app price online and offline and adds 30-day price protection. Sundan wins on demo units plus installation and repair. Sam's Club requires membership and competes through bundles and combination deals. The lowest price for any given model usually lands during a big e-commerce promotion rather than in a physical store, so check the Xiaomi and JD apps before you pay.

Are rice cookers and air fryers cheaper in Shenzhen or Hong Kong?

On official prices, Shenzhen: the 6.5L air fryer is RMB 349 on the mainland against HKD 689 in Hong Kong, about RMB 588; the 3L IH rice cooker is RMB 349 against HKD 619, about RMB 528; the circulator fan is RMB 279 against HKD 459, about RMB 392. Factor in travel, time and warranty logistics, though, and the gap narrows.

Is it worth buying a robot vacuum in Shenzhen?

It depends on the model. The Mijia Robot Vacuum 5 Pro is close on both sides — RMB 3,999 on the mainland against HKD 3,799 in Hong Kong, about RMB 3,243 — and Shenzhen's 15% subsidy brings the mainland price to roughly RMB 3,399, so they end up level. Some models are on promotion in Hong Kong and come out cheaper. Always compare both official sites, then apply the 15%.

Can I take my purchase straight back to Hong Kong?

Carrying a single small appliance for personal use is normally straightforward, but large quantities or anything resembling commercial resale can attract questions, so keep your invoice. Bulkier items such as large air fryers or robot vacuums with a base station are better sent by a consolidation service, after checking what the forwarder will accept. Follow the latest guidance from Hong Kong and mainland customs.
